Hi, I'm Abdurrahman! 👋
Welcome to my academic homepage!

I am a Master of Applied Science (MASc) student in Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Queen's University in Kingston, Canada.

My research lives at the intersection of thermal fluids, computational mechanics, and materials science. Currently, my graduate work focuses on modeling Artificial Ground Freezing (AGF). Using coupled thermal-hydraulic-mechanical (THM) simulations and the Discrete Element Method (DEM), I model how freezing ground behaves on both micro and macro scales—helping design safer, smarter, and more sustainable engineering solutions for challenging environments. 

Before moving to Canada, I graduated as the University Valedictorian from Abdullah Gül University in Turkey, where I developed a strong interest in using computational tools and machine learning to solve complex material design and advanced manufacturing problems. 

When I’m not running simulations or debugging code, you can find me designing and teaching hands-on technical, collaborating with international research groups, or exploring new technologies.
